Eligibility Criteria
Note: Taking reference from RRB Group D Official notification of 2025
Nationality/ Citizenship: A candidate must be either:
(a.) a citizen of India, or
(b.) a subject of Nepal, or
(c.) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d.) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
(e.) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
(f.) Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
Age Limit: 18 to 33 years.
The lower and upper age limit indicated for a particular post(s) in the vacancy table will be reckoned as on 01.07.2019.
- The relaxation in upper age limit / maximum upper age for the following categories/communities in the table below is applicable subject to submission of requisite certificates.

If a candidate is eligible for relaxation of age on more than one ground, he/she would be accorded the highest of the age relaxations (not cumulative) for which he/she is eligible.

No age relaxation is allowed to SC/ST/OBC-NCL (Non Creamy Layer) candidates applying against unreserved vacancies.

PwBD candidates applying against UR vacancies will be allowed age relaxation applicable for UR PwBD only.

Candidates should note that the date of birth filled in the application should be same as recorded in the Matriculation /SSLC or an equivalent certificate. No subsequent request for its change will be considered.
